The most recent edition of the European Championship, Euro 2020, was scheduled to be held in multiple countries across Europe to celebrate the 60th anniversary of the competition. However, due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the tournament was postponed to 2021 and the format was modified to have the matches played in 11 host cities in 11 different countries.
